Charting

Charting built for the treatment you actually deliver.

A blank text box is not a charting system. OutSmart gives you real structure for the clinical work, so the note is finished when the visit is, and everything you wrote can be read back as data later.

One document

The treatment plan belongs in the note.

In a lot of systems the plan is a separate entry you create afterwards, sitting under the same date, waiting to drift out of step with the note it belongs to. Here it is one record.

  • Write the plan where you wrote the assessment
  • Read the whole visit back in one place at the follow up
  • Print or share the visit as one document, not two
  • Nothing to reconcile when the plan changes mid course

Speed

Finish the chart in the room. No recorder on the desk.

The fastest note is the one that was already half written. Smart templates, smart lists and protocols carry everything you write every time, so you fill in what is different and move on.

  • Smart templates for the visit types you run all day
  • Smart lists for the findings, points and products you reach for constantly
  • Protocols that drop a whole treatment in at once and stay editable
  • Templates written and tested by us, so quality is not a lottery
  • No microphone in the room and nothing for the patient to consent to

The sections other systems leave you to improvise.

This is where a general purpose EMR runs out of road. Every one of these is a proper structured section, not a text box with a heading.

IV therapy

Build the bag ingredient by ingredient and watch the running osmolarity and the cost keep up with you. Keep your own substance library with concentrations, suppliers and purchase units. Record drip rate, method, site, needle, monitoring and post treatment notes. Save the whole thing as a protocol and reuse it.

Injections

Injection templates for the treatments you repeat, with site, substance and dose captured as data rather than prose. Report on what you used across a month without reading a single note.

Acupuncture

A dedicated acupuncture section for point selection and treatment detail, so a session is recorded consistently every time and is still readable a year later.

Measurements and outcomes

Hundreds of measurement types with proper units, recorded once and then graphed across every visit. Show a patient their own progression instead of describing it.

Prescriptions

Write and print prescriptions from the chart, with your license details and, for BC prescribers, your PharmaNet identifiers on the sheet. Fax it without leaving the page.

Dispensary

Dispense from your own inventory with stock levels, suppliers and pricing behind it, and have what you dispensed land in the chart and on the invoice at the same time.
